This relocation is occurring during the renovation of the museums historic buildings on 70th Street and enables the institution to provide public access to its celebrated collections during a time when the museum and library would otherwise be closed. At the same time, preserving the unique residential character and intimate scale of the Frick will remain our top priority. Annabelle Selldorf was the recipient of the 2014 American Academy of Arts and Letters Award in Architecture and the 2016 American Institute of Architects New York Chapter Medal of Honor.
