2022 Battle of the Big Country

Round count: 110 rounds plus sighters. 10 stages. Two magazines are recommended

Welcome to the “Battle of the Big Country” at THE RANGE, near Coleman, Texas. You will experience a unique opportunity to zero and fire from five indoor/climate-controlled bays during the shoot.

The match will consist of 10 stages fired at distances of 50 – 350 yards, 2-minute par time with a round count of 110 rounds not including zeroing. Some stages will have a max round count of 12 so it is highly encouraged to have a magazine extension or an additional magazine. The course of fire will be published in advance.

Match fees $70 (Lunch Provided)

Lunch (includes Sausage Wrap & Chips) and Drink will be provided at the match for Registered Competitors. Any additional meals will be available for $5; other drinks and snacks available for nominal cost.

Competitors can expect fun and challenging stages with all engagements being shot prone, positional, bench and from barricades.

This match will test your shooting skills, time management, ability to build solid shooting positions and read the wind.

THE RANGE RULES: 

1. In addition to NRLX22 rules, all local range rules and safety guidelines apply and will be clearly briefed.

2. 22LR ONLY

3. Competitors and Range Officers are the only authorized personnel forward of the ready line. The ready line is a clearly marked/roped line to separate spectators and guests from the firing line. Children are welcome but must be supervised.

4. Be kind, be respectful and have fun.

Awards:

Cash pay back at 1 place per 4 shooters. (Example – 12 shooters equal 3 paid places). Young guns will receive ammunition equivalency per place.
