Welcome to the 2023 High Desert Rimfire Reckoning II!

Range is located approximately 4.5 miles north of Kirtland, NM. Parking area and match site is located at 36.79891, -108.33516. Elevation is 5560’. See Goggle Maps for details. Getting to the match site will require driving 3.5 miles on a semi- maintained dirt road.

In order to host this match we have worked diligently with the Bureau of Land Management to obtain a Special Use Permit to allow the match to be held on Public Lands. The match will offer a combination of picturesque views, challenging shooting positions and tricky winds. The match was designed from the beginning to offer stages that could not be duplicated at other venues and to design stages that are fun, as well as, challenging for all skill levels. Target distances will range from 25-440 yards and will include a mover stage. All targets over 200 yards will be equipped with MagnetoSpeed T1000 flashers. Stage round counts will range from 10 to 20, so 12 and 15 round magazines or extra magazines will be beneficial.

Entry fee includes snacks, water, lunch (Subway) and a match T-shirt.

Mulligans will be available at Check-In for $20. Limit of 1 per shooter.

The match will consist of 10 stages. Most stages will incorporate natural obstacles and/or terrain. Walking between stages will be on relatively flat ground with loose, rocky soil. Total walking distance is about .7 miles. Appropriate footwear, elbow and knee protection is encouraged.

150 rounds will be needed to complete the COF. Bring additional ammunition for sight-in We will have 50 yard sight-in targets, as well as steel targets at 150 yards.

RO’s will be at each stage to manage the administrative duties required. Participants will be responsible for spotting and calling impacts for fellow shooters on their squad.

Trophies will be awarded to Open 1st, Open 2nd, Open 3rd, Top Lady, Top Youth.

Prize table will be walked in the order of overall finish.
