Home/Podcast/Welcoming Ladies to NRL22 with Theresa Jurisch and Michelle Schroeder NRL22 Podcast Season 1 | Ep. 4

On today’s episode, Theresa Jurisch and Michelle Schroeder join Ruth Soucie to talk about all things rimfire, how to get more ladies involved in the sport, and much more!

Michelle Schroeder is an NRL22 competitor and match director who has been participating in NRL22 matches since 2018. She has several first place Ladies Class wins from local and NRL22X matches. Michelle has especially enjoyed seeing the number of female and youth competitors increase over the years and looks forward to watching the sport continue to grow.

Theresa Jurisch has been competing in precision rimfire matches for around 1.5 years. She started shooting after taking a class from Ruth through Midwest Precision Shooting for ladies interested in getting into NRL22 competition. Figuring it was time to see what her husband had been out doing many weekends over the previous three years. It turned out this was something not only they could do together, but she would break out on her own, become independent, and sometimes go to matches without him.

The NRL22 Presented by Bushnell is a division of the National Rifle League which is a not-for-profit organization dedicated to the growth and education of precision rifle shooting. The NRL22 was created to provide a way for competitors who are looking to get into the sport of precision rifle the opportunity to do so with 22lr or air rifles without having to invest a lot of money in gear or travel. The NRL22 program is designed so that any facility with a 100 yard range can participate in local competitions to qualify for a National Championship.

Hear Theresa, Michelle, and Ruth’s perspectives on how to get more ladies out shooting, welcoming new shooters to the sport, and more, on the NRL22 Podcast!
